Ladies and gentleman, I bring to you the 4th installment of the KickDeveloper of the Month award. As the unannounced winner of the ongoing widget contest it is no wonder that Connor Middleton has become our KickDeveloper for the month of May! But don't let that discourage you from creating some awesome widgets, developers, as this contest will never end!
Connor, has been quite active on the message boards, helping others create the most intuitive widgets, as well as gathering some knowledge about the platform. He has been working with KickApps for about 2 years now and has developed multiple communities, integrated with his ColdFusion driven homepages. His personal homepage, which uses KickApps widgets (and features his contest winning Xbox Live widget) is a personal blog and displays Connor's creative side with a slick and clean, but attractive design. Check out the screenshots and more about Connor and his KickApps driven community MilPals.com, after the jump!
MilPals.com
Connor took it upon himself to create the first KickApps powered military focused community, and has done a great job in doing so. With over 1700 members and growing, MilPals.com is flourishing, and making US soldiers happy. Connor made use of the groups feature to give a home to all of his members. Ranging from Military siblings, to the National Guard, to the Marines, and back to Military Spouses, with all the other Armed Forces included, as a member of any of these groups, you'll have plenty of pictures and videos to keep you occupied and keep you coming back for more.
When approached about this honorable mentioning, Connor had this to say about KickApps, "I've been using KickApps for about 2 years now. I found out about the site while at the Adobe MAX conference in Chicago. I love the freedom I have with design and the constant stream of updates the company is putting out. Nothing is better than finding a limitation, mentioning it on the forums and hear 'We are already working on making that better'.".
On behalf of the entire KickDeveloper Community as well as KickApps, I would like to congratulate you, Connor, on your recent achievement as KickDeveloper of the Month! Keep up the good work!
